Compare patterns in photographs
Select two photographs from the same viewpoint. Identify changes in light separately from changes in the dune shape. Include scale only when a known feature is visible; do not infer precise movement from an uncalibrated image.
Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
